Hey Gang,
Following on from my latest post- ‘Worry Time’, I want to encourage you to take a moment today to make yourself a promise.
Promise to banish your overactive inner critic.
Give up listening to the critical voice in your head. The one that relentlessly abuses you, tells you you aren’t good enough, you aren’t loved, you are worthless.
How can I do that?
- When self-depricating thoughts sneak into your head, treat them as if they came from Donald Trump, or your worst enemy. Then you won’t give them the time of day, or believe that they are true!
- Mantras (‘This thought is coming from an abusive part of my brain, it is not true’, ‘I don’t deserve to abuse myself’)
- Worry Time can help (see my previous post)
I have found since I have given up my inner critic I have had so much more energy- I didn’t realise how much of my energy it was taking up!
