Mental Health First-Aid Kit- Let’s Do This!

Mental health does not get enough attention.

When it comes to physical health we have GPs, schools and parents reminding us to take care of ourselves, and giving us the skills to cope with ailments that may come our way.

For mental health, though, this is not the case.

Why? Why are we all left to hopelessly try and …

  • understand what we are feeling?
  • understand it is OK to feel a range of emotions?
  • reach out for help when we need to?
  • Support ourselves when times are tough?

Only few (myself being one of these lucky individuals) are fortunate enough to wangle a place onto a decent course of therapy where we are supported to learn these essential life skills.

I know how lucky I am to have had this opportunity, and I hope by sharing my struggles and my mental-health first-aid kit in this blog I can help you too!
